Nut trees and fruit bushes take years to establish before they yield anything, which is exactly why they're not part of the main calculator run -- that calculator is built around what you can plant and harvest within a single season if the shops stop tomorrow. This calculator only helps if you're lucky enough to already have established trees or bushes in your current set-up: enter how many of each you have, pick your zone, and see the annual calorie contribution they're already quietly providing.

Data quality note: kcal/kg figures have been checked against USDA-standard nutrition data. One exception: Bunya Pine has no authoritative nutrition source available and uses an unverified estimate by analogy to chestnut. Berry figures (blackcurrant, redcurrant, strawberry) also vary somewhat between USDA and other national nutrition tables (e.g. French CIQUAL runs ~10-20% higher) -- USDA-standard values are used here. Nut-tree and fruit-bush yield-per-plant figures have also now been checked against horticultural sources (RHS, extension services, growers' guides) and adjusted where a better-supported figure was found -- but raspberry in particular has genuinely conflicting source figures (flagged in its own note above) and every yield figure still varies significantly in practice by variety, age, pruning and site. Treat the totals as order-of-magnitude, not a precise plan.
